Hello! Do you have any interest in studying in either Taiwan or Australia? Have you thought about studying in Taiwan or Australia? Have you thought of what the differences are when it comes to studying in either country?
Recently, I have been chatting with the student, Han, who is studying at Yunlin University of Science and Technology (also known as “YunTech”). Han is a Taiwanese. She has always been studying in Taiwan. As for me,
from kindergarten to university, I have always studied in Brisbane, Australia.
We found that there are many differences in studying between Taiwan and Australia, and we thought it was interesting. We’d like to share with you some of the interesting and different things we’ve found in studying between the two countries. We discovered there are many differences so we will share with you three specific interesting facts.
- The academic year for Taiwan’s school and the university is different from Australia’s.
- In Australia, it is called high school, however, what’s the name in Taiwan?; and
- The ways of entering university are not the same way between the two countries.
