The time spent studying in an Australia high school is the same as in Taiwan, which is six years. However, the naming convention for high schools in these two countries is different.
In Australia, people always call it “High School.” While in Taiwan, people always divide it into “Guo Zhong” and “Gao Zhong”. “Guo Zhong” is for three years and the other called “Gao Zhong” is also three years.
用英语的话，国中是称呼为 “Junior High School”, 而高中是称呼为 “Senior High School”。说到台湾的中学，其实是有分类的。台湾有两种类型的高中中学，一种称为“高中”，另一种称为“高职”。
If translated into English, “Guo Zhong” is known as “Junior High School”, whereas “Gao Zhong” is known as “Senior High School”. Speaking of Taiwan’s senior high school, it is categorized. There are two kinds of senior high school, one is called “senior high school”, the other called “senior vocational high school.”
In Australia, schools are divided into public and private schools and this is the same in Taiwan. Though, we did realise that the arrangement in Taiwan’s high school is the same as Japan’s. Don’t you think it is interesting?
