In your country or region, how do high school students apply for the university? The ways of entering universities are different between Taiwan and Australia.
In Australia, students, generally, go to school and study hard. They must first, get good grades, then they can apply for the university and course (or program) that they want to study.
In Taiwan, universities are categorised, just like with high schools. People divide universities into general universities or technical universities. If a student studies in a general senior high school, they will usually apply for general university. If a student studies at a senior vocational high school, they will apply to enter a technical university.
In Taiwan, there are two general ways to enter university, one way is where students apply with a letter of recommendation and the other is attending the university entrance examination.
Some people say that studying in Australia is not as hard as studying in Taiwan. Others say that studying in Taiwan is more stressful than in Australia.
There are also those who say that although the pressure of studying in Taiwan is greater than in Australia, living and studying in Australia are not as exciting as in Taiwan.
Han and I think each country has its own difficulties. What do you think?
