Europe Discovery (Winter) 2014

The date today is December 14, 2015.  Around this time last year, I was just finishing up my first trip to Europe.  For those who already love Europe, it no doubt has a lot to offer. For those who haven’t been there yet, it is the truth.  You will not disappointed.  But all honesty, I hadn’t really had an urge to explore Europe ever.  Asia had always been my first choice.  When I graduated from university, I traveled in China for three months.  Right after that, I started my first job and that allowed me to travel to many places in Asia including Bangkok, Shanghai, Manila, and more.  For personal trips, I would head to Hong Kong, countryside of China, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.  I did come close to travel to Amsterdam for an on-site job, but that fell through.  I figured, why not finally give Europe ago; and it happened last year.

It was a definite spectacular trip for me.  I started in London for 2 nights and then kicked off my first contiki tour that lasted about 12 days.  It was called the Europe Discovery (Winter).  I met up with my tour guide and travel mates in the Royal London Hotel in London. From London we heading to a fair amount of places including Amsterdam, Rhine Valley, Munich, Innsbruck, Venice, Rome, Florence, Lucerne, and then lastly Paris.

I met some interesting and great people, which made the trip worthwhile.  I cannot say I would do another Contiki tour again, given the age gap and potential types of people who joins the tour – it can be a hit or a miss.  But it was amazing. What is also amazing is to realise so much has changed over 12 months; and now I am living in the Land of the Rising Sun.

During the trip, I managed to take a number of shots and would love to share it with everyone.
